Love is Love: A Kaleidoscope Fund Raiser
After the horrible events the occurred at the Pulse night club in Orlando earlier this year, Marc Andreyko (BATWOMAN, WONDER WOMAN ’77) knew he needed to do something. He began gathering members of the comic creator community to show love, support and financially assist those most affected by the tragedy.
On the publishing side, all proceeds will got to Equality Florida. Family members, victims and survivors of will be directly receiving those funds.
We here at Comic Town, though, want to further that outreach locally.
is an outreach, safe place and recreation center for the queer youth of central Ohio. From providing HIV education and peer-to-peer programs to creating and staffing after-school programs and providing larger community resources, Kaleidoscope has been reaching out and providing an open recreational space for LGBTQ youth for over twenty years.
To help benefit Kaleidoscope with the release of Love of Love we are doing the following things:
1) $3 of every copy of Love is Love purchased will be donated to Kaleidoscope Youth Center.
2) Kaleidoscope has a Wish List of items that the youth in center often need as well as always accepting donations on their webpage. From December 28th through January 11th, if you provide proof of donation to Kaleidoscope through screen shot online or bring something to the store off of their Wish List to donate to the group, we will give you a $10 Comic Town Gift Card*.
